Ffoxe's Company is the 1st Captain's Company of the King's Lifeguard Regiment of Foote, theoretically the forth in seniority in the Regimental structure & hence you may hear the Company referred to as "Four Company". The Regiment, along with three other units, forms the King's Tercio (or Brigade) within the Royalist Army of the Sealed Knot.

The Company was formed, in 1971, by Brigadier Peter Young, D.S.O., M.C., M.A., F.S.A., who founded The Sealed Knot in 1969.Today our members come predominantly from Worcester and the surrounding area, although some hail from further afield.

Currently the membership stands at around twenty, and we are always looking for new members to join us. If you are think you might be interested, either contact our commanding officer, Paul Stanley ; seek out a member of the King's Guard at an event or . alternatively there are usualy one or more of us at the Worcester Re-enactor's weekly pub meeting, (check their website to see which pub they are meeting in).

There are broadly two areas of activity that you can get involved in - Battle Re-enactments and Living History or, of course, you can always do both:

Battle Re-enactments

Battle Re-enactments can vary in size from a small skirmish with a few dozen on each side to major musters which can see up to 1500 people take the  field.

Living History

Living History has its emphasis on closer involvement with the public and displays of civilian and military activity.

As well as joining our friends and comrades in the King's Guard at musters up and down the country we are active in and around Worcester with the Worcester Re-enactors, a multi period umbrella group based in Worcester.

Our local activities include:

  • A regular weekly pub meet with the Worcester Re-enactors.
  • Joining Birch's (a local Parlimentary Regiment) for Drill Practice.
  • Taking part in small displays & events in support of local good causes
  • Also on occasion we get asked to help out as Film/TV extras
